Now in Stores

Hey Everybody,

It has been a busy few weeks for us all - so I apologize for not posting these images up sooner. The May 23rd launch was a HIT and I was sooo proud to see the young folks do their thang! The window displays looked amazing! Big UPS to the TRUE and FTC gang for making everything come together last minute. Enjoy the pics below from the May 23rd launch. Go buy shirts too!

Project Description

The T-Shirt Has a Voice is a class that includes both the history and design culture around ‘the t-shirt’ and how it is one of the most popular forms of public art and advertisement that we, as a community, are exposed. The class will learn the technical aspect of software tools, color, and composition skills. In addition, they will also learn about specific moments/figures in history and how those specific events inspired people to create t-shirts as a response to what was going on around them.

The final project will be to design a t-shirt that will be sold in the TRUE and FTC clothing boutiques on Haight Street, San Francisco. Students will present t-shirt design concepts to the boutique owners/reps. and will be required to develop a minor marketing strategy around the designs to help sell their products. The goal here is not about profit, but more about experience, process, and research.
